Network access uses huge amounts of cpu

Hi Guys,

On my MacBook Pro copying files off a local network uses massive amounts of cpu.

For example I am now copying a 60BG file to it and kernal_task is using between 40% and 60% cpu!

Is this just how mac networking works?

Cheers

Andy
