Finder thumbnail display

Hi John!

I'm not sure how you are opening the Thumbnails.
Is it a single file that contains the jpg images, or do you mean a folder, that has numerous jpg files in it?

If it's a folder, are you opening in Icon View, List View, or Column View?
Then how are you viewing the images?

So when you open a folder in Icon View, how are you trying to view the Thumbnails?

Please explain exactly what procedure you are using.
Are you using Show View Options, or another method?

Hello Again John!

Try this procedure.

Open the folder that contains the jpg images, in Column view.
Press the Command + j keys, to access the View Options.
Select Show Preview Column.

Now navigate through the columns, until you reach a image you wish to view.
Click on the file to highlight, and an image will appear in the Preview column.

Hi John,

Just to let you know, I experience extremely slow loading of the icons in icon view in finder windows of jpgs. I have plenty of dick space and RAM but perhaps its my slow processor speed. Haven't had any luck in speeding up the loading of the jpg icons. It sounds as if yours load a bit faster that mine even.....)))).

Ali's suggestion is about all you can do to have some sort of workaround.

sorry no silver bullet but wanted to at least share with you that you are not alone.
