I was wondering how come there are so many more processes running when using the Unix 'top' command, as compared to using the activity monitor? Activity monitor only shows a few things when top shows pages and pages.
In "Activity Monitor", at the top-right next to the search field there's a pull-down menu. Select "All Processes", and it should list all processes that are running on your computer just as "top" does.
