why is my Brother MFC-845CW printing small in Text Edit?

After installing Leopard my Brother MFC-845CW only prints micro sized documents in the upper left hand corner of the paper when I print from text edit, try to print a downloaded web document, etc. I cannot get normal sized type, or a normal document. The whole page is crammed into that corner. I checked page wrap, etc. No luck. If I print out of In Design I have to go through a whole rigamarole with page size vs. percentage, etc. Everything works fine on my Brother DCP-110C but I need to be able to print fast and easy out of the MFC.

Also, Printer Setup Utility crashes whenever I try to launch it.

So how do I uninstall the MFC?

Do I have to go through the Reset the Printing System?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

My Brother MFC 885CW with leopard too has the same problems, using Apple Apps where the top right of an a4 page is where all the printing goes, regardless of the settings. Brother support suggest something is a miss with Apple Apps as i can print word docs without any problems.

Leopard doesn't have a Printer Setup Utility. You can use the Print & ax Preferences to add a printer.

Before you print your page, click on the print settings and make sure you set it to standard. ( You may need to change the disclosure arrow to the right of the printer name to point downward to change theses settings) Then you will find the MFC will print on a full page. Checked with iCal and Text edit and it worked. If you have the fast draft (economy style settings) print setting then it reverts to small text and 1/4 of the A4 page filled only. Hope this helps.
