Vancouver, BC, CA PST Time Zone; Does it even exist in iCal's little world?

I've been trying to add a Vancouver (Canada) timezone of sorts to iCal's drop-down list but to no avail. The best I get is "Vancouver/America" or "US/Pacific". I'll settle for it saying "Canada/Pacific"; it's just annoying to have it out-of-place with the rest of my timezones (e.g. Canada/Eastern, Canada/Mountain, US/Pacific...). Yes I'm being picky. There's also the pain in the but that iCal seems to (for some strange reason) think that Montreal, Winnipeg and Vancouver are in America (displayed as America/%cityname%) and that Edmonton, AB doesn't exist... O.o Is there a fix for this, or has Apple just neglected their Northern Neighbors?

Gee, I don't know: it exists in my little Mac OS X 10.4.11 world…

Launch iCal, and press the currently selected time zone indicator in the upper right corner. Select Other… from the drop-down menu, and it should open a pane with a world map, your preselected time zone value and a list of cities, to wit:

• Cupertino - USA
• Los Angeles - USA
• Portland - USA
• San Diego - USA
• San Francisco - USA
• Seattle - USA [or, surprise]
• Vancouver - Canada

Do you see something different?

Do not take it personally. Time and date.com lists Vancouver as PST.

I think they are referring to the Continent of (North) America and not intentionally excluding the Great White North. Other choices in the iCal interface also offer these choices:
Buenos Aires TimeZone: ART - America/Buenos Aires.
Georgetown - Guana: GYT - America/Guyana

Time Zone abbreviations also offers some insight.
