deleted songs still show in my library

I downloaded a couple of free songs from iTunes. I didn't like them, so I hit the Delete button. The songs are gone, but they still show in the library. When I try to play them, of course I get a message saying that iTunes cannot find them.

How do I make them disappear from view?
