Nero to Mac

When I saw the light and moved from pc to imac I transferred all my music and other stuff and then smashed the Pile of C**p. Unfortunately my daughter has since tried to copy music to her MP3 and screwed up a lot of my music files. They are all backed up on Nero Backitup, but I don't think my Mac wants to talk to the disks. Am I doomed to days of re-recording or can someone advise differently. Thanks John
