Screen tips

MS Word has a feature which allows you to mouse-over a word and have text pop-up over that word. In Word it's called a screen tip. If I open a Word file in Pages the screen tips I've created in Word are there, so I'm sure Pages can do this, I just don't know what they're called in Pages and how to create them.

Tried to help but I must admit that I'm unable to understand your question proper. The best I could do with the so-called screen-tips are enabling the text as hyperlink (to a bookmark) and when I point the mouse over, it shows a screen-tip look-alike (see below). To do this, first you'll have to define a 'bookmark', select the text that you'd want the screen-tip to display (of course, they'll have to be in the document), and go to the *Link Inspector > Bookmark* and click on the + icon. Next, select the word that you want to 'have the screen-tip pop-up', go to *Link Inspector > Hyperlink*, choose *Enable as a hyperlink* and under *Link To:*, select Bookmark and select the appropriate bookmark under the Name: drop-down menu.

Don't know if this is the thing you're looking for, perhaps you might want to show a screen capture of the behaviour on your Pages-opened-Word-document?
