MIDI Multitrack Recording

I am trying to understand how to record with midi on multitracks at the same time.

Go to my website

http://vidsounds.com/

and you will see the way I am making music. I need to record the midi info on seperate tracks to make it easier to edit the notes. I'm not a musician or keyboardist. The keyboards I use have phrase arpeggios that one key triggers. My setup that you will see on my website has six multitimbral instruments and two MIDI controllers. The 2 MIDI controllers are asigned software instruments.

I actually got a response from another forum and it worked. At least for three of the multitimbral instruments. Apparently my arranger keyboards have a more complicated channel output structure than three of the Roland keyboards. I haven't figured out how to get the MIDI controllers to record seperatly from the multitimbral instruments yet. Anyway here is the advice from the other forum that helped me.

You need to setup your controllers to send MIDI On different channels, then in Logic, set the desired channels in the track parameter boxes. Then in your recording settings, make sure you select "Auto demix by channel if multitrack recording". Then rec-arm the tracks and press record.
