Back to My Mac with DMZ. Filesharing works but BTMM does not.
Hey folks,
I've got my mac on at home and have it set to "DMZ" mode through the router so it gets all connections and bypasses the firewall. When I use cmd-K to connect to the machine I can access the shared files just fine and use the ip address to share the screen. The machine also shows up in the "Shared" section on the Finder sidebar. If I eject it, however, it disappears and does not show up anymore. I'm not sure what's up, since I'd imagine that if the computer can receive a filesharing connection then it should be able to connect to the BTMM services. When I start the BTMM service the system logs says it's setting up an "Autotunnel" and it registers it fine, etc., so it looks like the services are starting up correctly. I've got it on DMZ because the 2Wire router I've got with my DSL service doesnt support UPnP or NAT-PMP.
