Error 2908

I tried many times to install the latest version of iTunes +quicktime in order to download songs for my ipod but I get this message always that says:
*The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2908.*
I have read the other installing problems and have done suggested solutions but this still persists. Please help.
