StreamManager Critical Error. and Damaged Songs

I'm usually a pro tools user but i have Logic Pro 7 on my system which i use occasionally.

my band just finished recording a demo in a studio that runs Logic Pro 7 and since I've brought the files back onto my system I've been getting error messages when i open Logic that reads

"A critical error occured while registering with StreamManager.
The ESB Will Not Work Properly
Please Check your StreamManager installation"
and
"A critical error occured while registering with StreamManager.
The EXS24 Will Not Work Properly
Please Check your StreamManager installation"

Also When i attempt to open the song files that i brought home from the studio i get a message saying *"Damaged Song or Not a Logic Pro Song! Search for Fragments? Damaged songs might create problems"*

I've tried Searching for fragments and a message comes back saying "this is not a Logic Pro Song"

I'm stumped and I've got mixing to do, Can anyone give me some clues as to what might be going on. The files logic Files I'm trying to open are .lso files and came from a studio which was also running Logic Pro 7

What a strange problem.

I found the following on the digi site. Although it is for ProTools, my guess is it's the same problem so the suggested fix may well work:

Pro Tools LE Reports a Critical Error! Dialog on Launch when Emagic’s Logic Platinum Installed (Item #36994)
If Emagic's Logic Platinum software is installed on the same system as Pro Tools LE, you may have difficulty launching
Pro Tools LE. When launching Pro Tools LE, you may encounter the following two warnings:
• Critical Error! Dialog “A critical error occurred while registering with StreamManager. The ESB will not work properly.
Please check your StreamManager installation.”
• Critical Error! dialog “A critical error occurred while registering with StreamManager. The EXS24 will not work properly.
Please check your StreamManager installation.”

If this should occur, remove the plug-ins called “EXS24 TDM OSX” and “ESB TDM OSX” from your system before launching
Pro Tools LE (Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins).

See if this helps first, then see what happens.

Hello, I have seen you came up with an answer for LuckyPenny's problem. Maybe you can help us with our problem which is quite similar to the LuckyPenny's issue.

We are a studio running Pro Tools 7.4 on Operating System 10.4.9 and we also use Logic Pro 7.1, but Logic seems to crash on launch and gives us the message below - any ideas?:

'Critiocal Error!
A critical error occurred while registering with streamManager
The ESB will not work properly.
Please check your streamManager installation'.

This is a possible solution, try what I suggested above for her, and see what happens. Don't delete the files, move them into another folder.

I don't use tools myself, but I found that info on the Digi website (via a google search.)
