iPod Contacts

in itunes, when you sync your ipod, the main screen comes up on the screen, click on the 'info' tab and select the ipod to sync contacts

When you've got your iPod connected to your PC, select the iPod in the sources pane on the left, then click the Contacts tab. The top half of the screen has options for syncing contacts. I'm in front of a Vista box just now and there is a drop-down list box letting me choose from Windows Contacts which is the Vista equivalent of the Outlook Express Address Book. The other option I have is for Microsoft Outlook. Have you been to this pane and seen what options there are? iTunes won't have a .csv import feature - it only wants to talk to one of a few applications it has been designed to work with.

*Tech support tells me I can download into my iPod Classic the address book from Outlook Express. This is a .csv file*
You can use Outlook Express 2003 or later.
If not You need contacts in a vcard format, not a csv.
Open the contact in Outlook Express the File -> Export as vcard.

Back in the world of XP I get offered *Windows Address Book* and *Microsoft Outlook*. Windows Address Book = Outlook Express Contacts. Select this and give it a go - if it doesn't work are there any error messages?
