Adding a 2nd Gmail account to Apple Mail

I've been using the Gmail and Apple Mail combo and it works great. However, l just added a second account configured using the same instructions found on Gmail help page but making the necessary changes to pop.gmail.com to pop.googlemail.com (l'm in the UK), but Apple Mail won't access it throwing up a pop up:

The POP server “pop.googlemail.com” rejected the password for user “xxxxx"

Can someone please tell me what am l doing wrong?

Obviously either your username is not correct, or your password is not correct. Play around with different domains in your username (@gmail.com, @googlemail.com) and servernames (pop.googlemail.com, pop.gmail.com). I had a similar problem here in Germany, where the information on the help pages were not correct. After trying out several combinations it finally succeeded.
