Ibook G3 and WPA2

I cant connect to my Airport network using a 466 ibook and Airport using WPA2.
It will work if WEP or no security is used.
I've read in other posts that WPA can be used as long as everything is at the proper
software level. So heres the gear and the software versions.

466 G3 graphite iBook running 10.3.9
Airport card running 9.52 firmware
Airport Extreme w/modem running 5.7
Airport Express running 6.3

Now when i configure the base station it doesnt give an option for just WPA it says WPA2
personal and enterprise and of course WEP. When i try to connect the ibook it gives "There was an error joining the network ............." I also get a incorrect password when using the setup assistant but that the only time that error shows up. I even erased all the keychain passwords for Airport to
start fresh.

2.16 Macbook Pro (Original), Powermac G5 Dual 2.0, iPhone, iPod Vid, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

You should be able choose "WPA/WPA2 Personal".

  1. Open AirPort Utility, select your base station, and choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open the base station’s configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
  2. Choose WPA/WPA2 Personal or WPA2 Personal from the Wireless Security pop-up menu depending on the capabilities of the client computers that will join your network.
  3. Type a password of 8 to 63 ASCII characters.
