airport extreme wireless issues

The wireless portion of my Airport Extreme just suddenly stopped. (now on my DLink backup)
I attempted a power down restart but the only way I can connect to the airport is via network cable. I have tried shutting down the wireless portion of the unit in the 'settings' portion of 'airport utility' but no luck. I do get a solid green light after startup but no wireless. Neither my Macbook nor my wifes Windows box will show any wireless network activity. Looking for suggestions. Thanks.

I am having the same issue. When I first purchased this item, the wireless was screaming. I have Optimum Online, and we getting wireless test speeds of up to 16000 Mbps! I have it set on N, B/G Compatible because I use a MacBook and my wife uses a Windows machine for work.

In the past few weeks, it has slowed down to what I would consider a good 'G' connection, or about 5000 - 6000 Mbps. While watching a video yesterday, the connection just stopped - on Windows machine and my MacBook. I tried powering down, nothing. The green light is on and when tethered directly to the router, the thing screams again, although no wireless. Kept the APE off all night after reading this post, just tried again and same issue - no wireless.

I connected a D-Link MIMO which was my previous router, and there is no issue whatsoever with wireless.

Anyone with any advice on how I might correct this issue I would appreciate it.
