Moving files from a Citrix windows environment to Mac

Hi folks, i have set up a link to my WIndows pc at work. So i launch a program (Citrix ICA client) to link to my hard drive at work (and share drives as required). So i effectively have a window on my desktop which houses my work environment and Windows.

However, it is painfully slow and i would ideally like to be able to pop into the Windows environment to get files and then save them onto the Mac on which i am working. How is this done at all? Obviously when i select save, if i am in excel for example, in the Windows environment all i have access to are the drives available at work. Drag and drop onto the Mac desktop isn't an option either! There must be an easy way around this??!! Help!

Thanks for your time
Andrew

This is pretty easy to do. I'm using Citrix ICA Macintosh Client Version 6.30, but I think its the same in version 7.0

1. Open the Citrix ICA Client Editor (probably in the Citrix Folder in the Applications Folder)
2. Click "Default Settings" button.
3. Select the "Drives and Devices" tab
4. Select "Drive Mapping" (probably already selected).
5. Check the box to enable mapping of your "C" drive, which is your Home folder on the local Mac. Make sure "Enable Drive Mapping" is also checked
6. Click the pictures of the glasses (read permission) and pencil (write permission) to select the appropriate setting. An X means you can't read or write. A question mark means it will ask you each time you try to read or write. A simple glasses or pencil means its always active.

Good luck!
Jeff
