The above are screen shots of connections my computer seem to be having. Only one newly created user is logged into. firefox was used to browse google and apple and yahoo/hotmail mail. it seems i am getting connected to strange IPs and some of these may not be advertising. i closed all browsers and waited for some time and it seems now washington post is connected. at one point eclipse ide was open and when i closed it most of the connections that were in second pic were gone. Why doesnt apple's netstat show the foreign connection correctly? why does it truncate or chew up the address? or is it showing some 'given name' of foreign address?
Is there any one familiar with eclipse ide and does it connect to all kind of places depending on plugins in it? does that compromise security? at present i am using a user that is having admin privileges so i can run mySQL Db so cant move it to non-admin. or i can do it if someone tells me i can run mysql in non-admin mode in mac(non-server edition)
