its strange because on other support sites as well, everyone blames the website. but if we're all getting these problems from different websites, doesn't that say that safari is the problem?

mine says...
1/2/08 11:59:37 PM [0x0-0xf00f].com.apple.Safari[134] Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://messaging.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=mail.reply&friendID=113976295& messageID=5125329006&f=bulletin&groupid=0&MyToken=5d37dd9e-85ef-4072-8d65-c344dd 94005f from frame with URL http://deSK.opt.fimserve.com/adopt/?r=h&l=14000014&pos=skyscraper&rnd=123474668& fid=0&ged=0:0:MTVhZDBjMzU5NGJiZTU1N262iK26gChDcGogauyUUjllkOuH-LJCsPOIavjgkRZM8VVq2q9FEiVlsXkKWO-AgpkS6K9TkCHPuOo3GqK4dW5I6SCbTPqLSE 8Blwa2hb. Domains, protocols and ports must match.

safari in leopard is pretty horrible, everything hesitates, i've spend hours looking up what the problem with the DNS lookup is (theres plenty of posts on apple discussions about it), takes forever to start up, and even after it does start, and i leave it, it hesitates when i try to start using tabbed surfing... its like i'm back on a pc.....

after reading this
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6109056&#6109056
post, and seeing that the guy had the same "unsafe javascript attempt..." i thought that i might have the same problem, so i did all those options suggested.

first tried reinstalling the 10.5.1 updater, then using cocktail, then actually reinstalling the OS.... yeah.. and no progress. who's working on this problem... MICROSOFT?

I came across this when I was checking my console log and found that the SystemUIServer[721] kept logging "Unsafe Javascript" crap when browsing with Safari.

After reproducing the problem a couple of times, I found that when the Debug mode in Safari is active, with "Enable Runaway Javascript Timer" enabled, any sites most likely making http connections through an iframe or frameset, this "Unsafe Javascript" string stuff is logged in both Safari's Debug Javascript Console, as well as the regular Console.

Whether this is good or not, I don't know. I just kept seeing the "Unsafe" stuff, and couldn't part from determining why this is happening. I have no idea how this is being handled in the background between Console and Safari, but I thought it was weird that all this stuff was being spit into Console. The reason I don't like Safari being so verbose with Console is that it leaves browsing tracks in Console. My thoughts are that these logs should be sand boxed within Safari and flushed on quit.

As for the solution, just disable "Enable Runaway Javascript Timer" in Safari under Debug, or switch browsers.

I still have to check to see if this is the case in 10.3.9.

Using:
Safari 3.0.4 (523.12.2)

P.S. from my log...
