Bank .pdf statements won't download

I cannot download statements from Chase bank. I'm using Safari 3.04. When trying to download the .pdf statements I get the following: " A network error occurred while accessing this document."
* Firefox works just fine.
* I don't have problems with other financial institutions.
* Had the same problem with the previous version of Safari.

Any suggestions?
