ichat Communication Error

A friend and I were trying to use ichat with our new MacBooks and each time that we tried a video chat we got a popup that said there was a communication error. Any suggestions on how to fix this? We both changed or Quicktime Streaming Speed to 1.5 Mbps and our ichat Bandwidth limit to none, but still got the communication error. Thanks for the help.
