Loading Windows XP on VPC

Question

Loading Windows XP on VPC

I recently obtained VPC and loaded it onto my PowerBook G4; however, when i try and load Windows XP Pro, it will not autorun and it says autorun does not have a default application to open it. Am i missing something? Thanks

Did your copy of VPC not come with a copy of Windows?

Is your copy of XP a full version or an OEM version that came with a PC?

You got a standalone version of VPC? First thing, patch it to 7.0.2 at www.microsoft.com/mac/

Then start VPC and create your virtual machine.

FILE > NEW

Click INSTALL YOUR OWN OPERATING SYSTEM then click BEGIN

In the list, click your OS and hard disk format when it comes up. Pick FAT32.

Then follow the prompts from there.
