Windows audio/x-pn-windows-acm codec

Heyo,

Our voice mail system has integrated messaging (emails out voice mail messages), which is cool but I can't play them on my Mac (10.4.2).

iTunes and VLC don't do the trick.

They come in as .WAV files and the mime type is:

audio/x-pn-windows-acm

Any suggestions?
Thanks
Mich

.WAV files are usually PCM bitstreams (almost identical to audio on a music CD) but if it's ACM, it might require a different decoder.

I'm guessing ACM is similar to AC3 (the codec that converts PCM stereo into 3-channel audio) or actually is AC3.

Google for an AC3 codec compatible with your desired player on Mac, install it, and try again. If you can find an ACM codec, use that.
