Problem adding movies to iTunes library

Do you intend to watch this on your iPod or do you just watch these videos on iTunes? If you have no intention of watching it on your iPod then download and install the VLC player.

But the error message you received implies the file was damaged somehow, possibly during the conversation. Try another video.

If you intend to watch this video on your iPod, then you should download a program called Videora which easily converts all video formats to ones that are compatible with your iPod.

As we mentioned in our last blog post, in order to workaround Apple’s "Error -2202: a bad public atom was found in the movie" bug, we have to ignore the source video’s framerate and force the converted video to a new framerate. Videora iPod Converter will now do this automatically through our new Automatic Framerate Generator feature. This feature can be turned on or off by editing your encoding profiles. Since we had to add this as an option to the profiles section, you cannot use or import your old profiles as they will not work.

Hi, The first time I use these forae. Basic Problem (sorry for erudites): When I convert videos in iTunes (for use in iPod) the converted videos have no sound (neither in iTunes nor in iPod).

How many times do you need to ask this question?

Quicktime or Quicktime Pro (which iTunes uses) don't convert "muxed" ( muxed means multiplexed where the audio and video are stored on the same track) video files properly. It only plays the video and not the audio.

You need a 3rd party converter to convert the file with both audio and video.
