Can't get mozy backup off my Mac!

hi,

I am seeing this in my console log, even though In uninstalled Mozy backup software.

12/16/07 7:46:58 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.mozy.backup[13832]) posix_spawnp("/usr/sbin/MozyBackup", ...): No such file or directory

I emailed them and they told me to remove any login items related to Mozy, I did, restarted and it is still there. I emailed them again, but thought I'd ask here to see if anyone here has had this happen.

You obviously still have remnants of the application that run at startup. It may be a startupitem, it could be a launchdaemon. Keep looking. Use EasyFind - VersionTracker or MacUpdate to search the library folders that Spotlight omits.

Downloaded easyfind, and found the com file, removed it restarted, fixed.

I have the same problem, but cannot find the file with EasyFind. where was yours?

Just use the Finder's "Go to Folder..." option under the Go menu. Enter /Library/LaunchDaemons and and you should see "com.mozy.backup.daemon.plist". Move this file to the trash, and you'll be asked for authentication. Enter your credentials and you should see this error stop immediately. I'd reboot just for good measure. Good luck.
