IV50 indicates Intel Indeo Video 5.0 codec. Unfortunately there is no Mac OS X compatible version of any of the Indeo Video codecs. Intel abandoned development and support (for all platforms, not just the Mac) of the Indeo Video architecture long ago = in the late 1990s - at least two to three years before the commercial release of OS X. Indeo Video was compatible with Sytem 7.5 thru OS 9.2.2 depending on version [the original with no version number, 3.2, and 5.0].
The codecs were available as System Extensions installed in the Extensions folder which enabled Quicktime to decode and play the movie files. If you have an older Mac capable of booting into OS 9 and can locate the Indeo codecs you could at least view the file. Transcoding the file to something else could be problematic unless you also have an application that can perform the transcoding (i.e. a Quicktime Pro upgraded Movie Player or Quicktime Player or other video editing application). As far as I know, the Indeo codecs do not function when installed in a Classic environment System Folder - the only way to utilize them is when they are installed into Extensions folder of the System used to boot the Mac.
