FTP Server on Leopard???

I'm running Mac OS X Leopard Server and trying to setup individual ftp accounts for users, but point them to a specific folder of my choice. No matter what I do, I cannot get them to login to their "home" folder. I've even tried creating a sharepoint, but still no dice.

I tried another alternative, pureftpd, but that doesn't seem compatible with leopard at all. At least I can't get it to install. Tried installing it on 10.4.10 and it worked fine.

Pureftpd Manager also doesn't work on Leopard. It's actually on the list here of programs that are believed to not work on Leopard:

Is anyone else having the problem I'm having with trying to get an FTP server going on Leopard?

Anyone have a solution or alternative?

PureFTP Manager has been updated for Leopard. Try it again.

Hmm, I'm on the main page http://jeanmatthieu.free.fr/pureftpd/ right now and the very top entry dated Wednesday, 19 Nov 2007 says that PureFTPd Manager now runs on 10.5. Maybe an older page is cached in your browser? Regardless, here's the direct link to 1.7:

Let us know how it works.

Ok, yeah you are right. For some reason my cache wasn't updating in Safari.

I installed the new version and am still getting the following error:

Failed to open logfile at: /var/log/ftp.log

But the program proceeds to open. I'm wondering if i need to manually uninstall the older version to get rid of the error or if there is something else I need to do.
