Painting the metal on your ipod

Is it possible to paint the metal on the back of your touch? could you use metal paint? would i have to first prepare the metal by brushing it with steel wool or sandpaper and then paint? what kind of metal is the back of the ipod exactly?

It's polished stainless steel, not something I would think you would want to paint over.

i'm trying to go for more of a custom design rather then have the entire back one color. i got this kool tribal dragon i want to get on the back.

Sure it's possible. You can also make an engraving on the back-side. It'll have much sexy look 🙂

any oil-based paint will work according to Home Depot

Home Depot had the answer. Oil-based paint for any metallic surface.
