Mail remains on iPhone after download from server to computer

Hi -
I check my email from iphone - then check email from computer (which downloads off the server) - then I check email again on iphone, and the messages still show, even though they are not on the server. Is there a way the iphone can just show what is on the server (a true sync to the server)?
Thanks!

No one knows what Apple will be doing in future releases except Apple itself. I don't know how your Treo works, but I suspect that what you want won't be implemented as POP is not meant to work like that. In other words, the way the iPhone handles POP is how POP is meant to be handled; there is nothing to "fix". If your mail server supports it, I would suggest you consider using IMAP instead.

Basically, the treo shows a mirror image of what is on the server. If I check the mail from the phone - it shows all messages on the server. Then, if I check my mail from a computer and download the messages off the server, then check the messages again from the phone - those messages previously displayed will go away because they are not on the server. I want the iPhone to just show what is on the server - basically, wipe the slate and reload...any way to do that?
Thanks!
