Drivers for Windows Vista 64-bit

Hi all -

I want to install Vista Ultimate 64-bit on my iMac intel 2.4GHz with 2GB of RAM. I read around that I will have to manually install the drivers for apple specific hardware. Does that include the apple keyboard (aluminum) and the mighty mouse? If so, where do I get the drivers from?

Thanks a lot.

iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz, Mac OS X (10.5.1), 2GB RAM

Hi Steafan!

I followed the instructions on the site you gave me and its successfully installed the ATI driver. However, using system profiler on my mac, it says my card is ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro, but Vista now lists it as ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT. Is there any problems? On the other hand, the keyboard is giving me enough functionality, but some things still don't work, namely the number pad and eject key.

I also read on the net somewhere that the fans will not work? How can I verify that my fans are working?

Thanks,

Matt

PS I've only got a measley score of 4.8 on the windows performance rating...

Hi Matt,

the wrong name of the ATI should not pose any problem, as long as it works correctly.
For the keyboard and/or fan control have a look at InputRemapper http://www.olofsson.info/index.html?inputremapper.html

I am not sure how good that score of 4.8 is, cause I never used Vista.
Can you give the single scores for CPU; Graphics; HD; etc. ?
Mostly there is only component that lowers the score.

The score really is not that bad. Most top end systems only get 5.9-6.0. This is intentional, Vista is designed to have tough standards because the OS will be out for a while and the technology will improve. Really 4.8 and up is solid for vista. Most laptops/pc's don't even run around 5.0, so don't worry about that. As for the model listing difference on the ATI card, that is no big deal at all. It is just saying that you have drivers installed from the 2600 series, which will all be the same.
