Transfering Palm Pilot data to iPhone and iCal

My calendar and phone lists are on a Palm Pilot m505. I want to get rid of this device and start using iCal and iLife and have all of my current information converted to a format that my new iPhone will recognize. Can someone tell me how to transfer my files from the Palm so my iPhone will recognize them. After I do this, can I dump my Palm and all files related to it?

Albert Fisher,

Are you using the Palm Desktop Software? If so, enable the Palm iSync conduit, and your calendar's and contacts will sync from the Palm to iCal and Address Book.

This article has the steps to do so for a USB Palm:

Once the data is in iCal and Address Book, just configure the iPhone to sync via iTunes.

Hope this helps,

Nathan C.
