Making a Firewire Hard Drive into a bootable Tiger drive
Hi everyone,
This might sound incredibly n00bish, but here goes anyways:
I have a MacBook Pro, running 10.5.1. I want to use my LaCie Rugged 160gb hard drive and install Tiger on it. The reasoning behind this is that I want to compare how Logic Studio runs on Tiger vs. Leopard--and to just have another working bootable OS X drive. And, I'm completely stumped as to how to do it. I was at the Genius Bar earlier today, and the Genius suggested I try this. Here's what I've got--a copy of Tiger (that's probably for PPC macs) on DVD, my original MacBook Pro install dvd's, a DVD of Leopard, and of course my LaCie drive.
Again, sorry if this seems like a no-brainer.
thanks a LOT in advance.
