keys and keyboard shortcuts in illustrator (cs2) is behaving erratically

has anyone else had problems with key and/or keyboard shortcuts in illustrator (cs2)?

more specifically, the "unlock all" uses command shift2. when i activate it, it doesn't work. instead, there is some strange behavior...

also, sometimes the shift key does not constrain movement/sizing.

i checked the adobe forum and there was some mentioned of ms apps (specifically entourage) is the culprit. i updated to the latest version of ms, but no luck. besides, all ms apps are installed in the application folder; nothing is install in the system, so i don't see how this affects other apps.

any findings/feedback is appreciated. thx
