setup for wowway (wide open west)

I can't get the Iphone to setup an account for my email address. I have a email account with wowway but the phone won't let me set this up. Any help would be great. The email link that apple has does not have any info for them

I am having the same problem and tried calling Wowway and received no help. I am about to call AT&T to see if they have any resolutions.

I think I got it figured out, with some help from wide open west.
use the pop3.mail.wowway.com
then:
For the out going smtp server use smptauth.mail.wowway.com.

turn off the ssl as this would not work.
hope this helped. It seems that I am getting and sending email now

Hi Mike ... after 2.5 hours on the phone with apple we got it figured out. I was never able to connect using WiFi for my mail. So my outgoing client was changed to a server using EDGE. I have to turn off the WiFi in order to get mail. Everything works the same. But if I want to use WiFi (for the iTunes store), I have to turn it back on. I could't use the settings you recommended because I have an old wideopenwest account not a wowway account. Wowway won't switch me over without canceling my old account and starting a new one. We'd lose out email addresses. Go figure.
