wifi problems

I just got an ipod touch and the wifi is not working i wont even let me tap on the wifi settings all it says is no wifi and it won't let me tap it for i can get in someone please help me its very annoying

I had the same issue. Ipod touch does not like fancy encryption log ins. Go with a straight forward WEP encryption with a generated passcode key. Worked for me after a week of struggles.

Try a reset:
Hold the sleep and home buttons on the iPod until it reboots with the Apple logo.
Does it work now?
Does it have software 1.1.2?

I had the same problem and could not fix it and i did reset it but it stayed the same. i am 1.1.1 because i was jailbreaking it and this happened, but it worked for a while and then 1 day i just went to wi-fi and it wouldn't let me click on it
