i need help for my ipod touch

i got this new ipod touch as a christmas gift... my question is do i have to turn it on and off every time i open a folder in my ipod?? what is the use of this home space seems doesn't work?? and i dont hear any sound from my ipod when i watch a you tube video... any idea please.....

Huh? What folders?

what is the use of this home space seems doesn't work??

If you mean all the space on the main page that looks as if it could hold more icons, right now, no use at all.

i dont hear any sound from my ipod when i watch a you tube video

Do you hear sound when you're listening to music?

sorry claire im not that good in english... my problem in my ipod is that everytime i turn it on and open 1 of the icon i cannot sync anymore to the other icons unless i have to press the on/off button again..ex.i open the settings icon and after im done it i need to press the off button and turn it on again before i can sync to another icon....Is this how it works?? i have no music downloaded yet but i tried watching you-tube video and i don't hear any sound. do u have any idea about this issue???thanks

To get back to the main screen, press the button in the lower center (the "real" button). It will always take you back to the main screen.

As for YouTube, dumb question, are you plugging in your headphones? The Touch doesn't have a speaker so the only way you will hear sound is with headphones.

And don't worry about your English. I can assure you that you speak English better than I speak your native langauge!

i have got mine working fine, but i cant get safari to download flash player. any ideas

There is no Flash player for the Touch.
