Well, with the number of
stolen iPhone threads here, I say you are running a risk not using a passcode lock. If stolen, a person (even after you report it) can access your email and iTunes account via Wifi all they want until you go to those accounts and change your password.
So, why not use the Require Passcode setting to set a interval to not make it
as bad.
Settings => General => Passcode Lock.
There you enable the setting but there is a setting for "Require Passcode" and it has an interval setting. (1min, 5min, 15min, 1hr, 4hr). Set that to an interval you want. Doing so will make it that once it does go to sleep if you go to use it before that interval, you won't have to enter a code. I have mine set to 5 mins. So I can go back to it anytime within 5 mins of going to standby and not have to enter a code. So while having a txt'ing conversation with a buddy and I txt, put in pocket, min so later get response, I can get at it quick without entering code again, yada yada. But at least I know I am somewhat safe that it will
lock and require a passcode if left for a time and somebody gets hold of it (though I know a 4 digit numeric code is not all that strong...it is at least a deterent).
