Pretty much, I have all the songs I want to put into my ipod ready to go and I have no idea how to put it on. There is all this talk about the Setup assistant but it didn't pop up when I downloaded itunes
Does iTunes see your shuffle (eg does it show up on the left side panel)?
And it's NOT normal...according to the manual:
"...The first time you connect iPod shuffle to your computer, the iPod Setup Assistant
helps you configure iPod shuffle and sync it with your iTunes library. .."
No programs started or came up on the laptop where I plugged it however I was able to see it via the folder and file lists in XP explorer as another drive called ipod.
After struggling around I downloaded itunes to the computer from Apple and finally it found it and I gave it a name and now I am trying to work out lists and sort orders here.
Anyway, I would say you maybe need to get the itunes program down from Apple. Its free.
I am also having the same problem. I have downloaded the itunes software free from the site, yet when I plug in the shuffle, it tells me that the software I need is not installed. When I open itunes, it doesn't show that my ipod is connected. I am very frustrated and would like some incite
