ring and vibrate at the same time

Question

ring and vibrate at the same time

Hi is it possible to get my iphone to ring and vibrate at the same time ? and is it also possible to let it ring louder as when it is in my bag it is very difficult to hear it ! even though i pushed it on maximum.

To make it vibrate while ringing go to Settings>Sounds and under the ring section, make sure that Vibrate is switched on. As far as a louder ring if you are using version 1.1.2 then you are enjoying the loudest ring possible. But just make sure your ring volume is turned all the way up. Hope this helps.

Are you putting it in a case inside your purse? If so, is the speaker and mic at the bottom of the iPhone covered?

Also make sure all the packing plastic that came with the iPhone has been removed, and isn't covering the speaker and mic at the bottom of the iPhone.

Leclere Madelon,

Some ringtones are louder than others. For example "Crickets" is pretty quiet. "Old Phone" and "Alarm" are both louder.

As for having it vibrate and ring, go to Settings -> Sounds.

The Vibrate option under Silent decides whether or not it vibrates in silent mode. The Vibrate option under Ring decides if it Vibrates when it is ringing.

ok great i turned it on at the silence button instead of the other one... got the old telephone ring... a shame i can not turn it up more !
