Logitech Dual Action Game Controller and the iMAC

Hey All. I am still new to the world of Mac.

I have a Logitech Dual Action game controller that I used to use with my PC. I see that the Mac supports it, and that Apple even sells it on their site.

My Question:

Is there some kind of driver I need to download for it or will it just work? When I plug it into the USB, nothing happens. I don't have any games to test it on yet, but before I pick any up, I want to be sure this thing works.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi SW4747...if this is the one you speak of I don't find any software for the Mac...I did see the Mac logo...but nothing for the Mac OS

No software to download, it will be configured as a game controller under the USB HID (Human Interface Device) driver and should work just fine as long as the game you are playing supports that profile (most Mac games do).

I found it in the system profiler.

Looks like it is picking it up.

Looks like Logitech does not make any software for the MAC for the controllers.

You might give USB Overdrive a try, I use it for Doom 3 with my Logitech RumblePad. It adds a configuration menu to the System Preferences that allows you to map keyboard keys to your game controller buttons and create different profiles for different games.

says it is supported by OS, but I can't seem to find a driver.

bbolin - Is there was a way to access the USB HID to see that it is recognizing the controller?

Is it somewhere in"system preferences" ?
