Armband for bigger arms

I just got a Nano for X-mas, and was wondering about armbands. The ones that I've seen in stores pretty much only go up to 15". I've got bigger arms (a little over 18"), so I need one that will fit. My old mp3 player (not an ipod) had a band that fit my arm alright, and I really got used to wearing it on my arm. If I can avoid having to clip it somewhere it would be great. Any ideas, or am I probably going to have to MacGyver something myself?

I personally enjoy using the Nike made armband. The 2nd generation ipod band measures in at 15". I am not sure if the new armband is bigger. You could call them for specs at 1800 806.6453. Here is a link for the 3rd generation nano:

The other brand that I have found useful is Marware. It includes a pouch for the sensor so don't have to purchase Nike shoes. Check out their product:

Neither website gives dimensions on the length.

The last resort is to google the product. There are countless number of companies producing products for the iPod eco-system.

Lar-Dog,

Were you able to find another arm band?? I just received a Nano as a gift with the Belkin arm band and was not close to closing it never mind putting it on. The reason I wanted it was for the gym and now am having no luck getting an arm band.

First off, sorry about taking so long to get back to you. My step-son wrestles in high school, and the last couple of weeks have been crazy busy.

memyselfanddan- Thanks for the info. I did check it out and unfortunately, the Nike armband wouldn't work for me.

bobbo- I know what you mean about the Belkin. Couldn't get the friggin' thing over my forearm. However, I did find one made by Body Glove that seems to work. (Picked it up at Wal-mart actually) It comes as a separate case and armband. I had to add a little piece of velcro to the band, to give it a little more adjustablity, but so far it's been pretty good. The nice thing about it is that it has a slit in the back of the case, so you have the ability to make your own custom sized armband if you need to.
