I plugged my HP Deskjet F380 on my Airport Extreme but i when i want to add the printer on my mac book i get this message " Error: -9672". I am new with mac products so i dont know what to do. Please help me!
Do you have another printer hooked up, or listed under printers. This will cause trouble. Delete the old printer from system pref. and make sure the new one's configured correctly.
It means no printer driver installed. I cannot find an F380 on Epson's website. It may be the European designation of the R380 All in One printer. Check their website for an updated printer driver compatible with the version of OS X you have installed.
Hi,
i don't have any other printer in my list. I used the original CD from HP to install the driver.
If i plug the printer local to the MacBook i can add the printer, just over the Airport it's not working. But i can connect the printer at my PC with Windows XP and bonjour.
I beg to differ, but having multiple printers connected and configured does not cause any particular problem. I have three printers running on mine - an HP PhotoSmart, LexMark Color Laser, and a TekTronix Laser.
In this case contact Epson. It's quite probable their printer driver simply doesn't work over a wireless connection. Either that or your Airport Base Station needs to be configured to turn on Printer Sharing.
I think the problem lies with Airport. I had a Canon Pixma ip3000 running happily as a bonjour printer (with a number of other printers in my printer list). One day it just stopped working as a bonjour printer on both my Macbook and on my wife's.
Have just purchased a new Canon MP 520, installed it and have the same problem. Intrying to fix it I have discovered that Airport does want to reconfigure itself after the last system upgrade, to 10.4.11.
