deleting trash on iphone

I have been told that I must delete emails on iphone one by one, something I find slightly ridiculous for such a cutting edge tool. OK, once I delete the hundreds one by one, certainly there is a way to empty the trash? Certainly I don't have to do those one by one too??

Well believe it and actually the iPhone is not really a "cutting edge tool". It just provides features with an easy user interface and touch screen technology.

There is no mass delete, delete all, delete the selected messages only or delete all messages except for the selected messages option with the iPhone's email client but by account there is a setting to automatically delete messages selected for deletion and available in the account's Trash mailbox after one day.

Only one message at a time can be selected for deletion but set this option to after one day for the account's Trash mailbox and as the Sopranos family and their associates say often, "forget about it".

i suggest that you disable that address off the iphone. Delete all the messages directly off the computer. then put your email address baack onto your iphone. make sure you have spam blocked. Once you get a message save (or star) it if it is of importance. If not delete it immediately to save space. Thats the best you can do at this point.
