So I am trying to connect a new acer laptop to a network that is running an Airport Extreme Base Station, but Vista keeps telling me This network is marked as a "hidden" network and to check to make sure everything inputed properly. Here is the thing the network is not closed the box is not checked. The network is running WEP for the security though. I have updated firmware and spent days changing countless settings and testing to see if it had any luck of connecting, but with no luck at all I have run out of ideas. I have read through countless forms trying to find a solution and most things point me at that the SSID is not broadcasting, but that can't be the case if the network is not closed from my understanding. Any ideas on what to do or try next would be appreciated.

Which channel are you currently using? Is this in the US?
yeah I am in the US and the Channel is set to 10. I will try changing the channel later today. Thanks for the suggestions.
I have come to the conclusion what the problem is, which is follows Windows Vista sees the network as a non-broadcasting network, but in reality the network is broadcasting and I have no Idea why Vista sees it like that, so now I need to know any ideas on how to make Vista see that it is broadcasting.
This network is marked as a "hidden" netowrk.
