iTunes store won't let me download purchased songs and tv shows.

i bought music in the iTunes store and it downloaded half of what i bought then quit out of iTunes. I opened it back up and went to view my account and pending downloads then i clicked download now, but a message pops up saying "Unable to check for purchases. The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable; please try again later." i've tried again later for a week now, and used 2 different computers to try it, and it's still not working.

I have been suffering the same issue and this has persisted over the coarse of 3 months now. I purchased the music around the end of December. I have tried to report numerous occasions where the iTunes store has failed to allow me to download the content. Now I can't purchase it again and now I sit without it, Unable to actually get a refund and to get the music. I reinstalled iTunes and then wrote it over again, Still nothing. I am sick and tired. I have had a year of nothing but trouble. I might switch to Zune, if problem persists. My iPod didn't even work for may first month with it. Anyway, I run my account by fueling it with gift cards. I just hope this gets fixed soon.
