Q: Upgrade 400MHZ Pismo to 500MHZ

I am looking to buy a Pismo and most of them available on eBay seem to be 400MHZ models. How hard would it be to upgrade it to 500MHZ? Would I need to get a whole new motherboard or just something to plug into it?

I want to move up from my trusty Lombard, but the newer ones are flat squares with no soul!

Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    Sludgedragon,

The 400MHz and 500MHz microprocessor (daughter) cards plug into the logic board (motherboard) and are interchangeable. The only drawback is finding a reasonably priced 500MHz microprocessor card. You might try Googling for a "Pismo 500MHz microprocessor".
