Software to test integrety Files and HardDrives ?

Short...
What software do you recommend for validating the integrity of audio files ?
.
.
Long...
I've just had a file made with logic that the Finder was not able to copy.
The drive changed it sound when this happened, it literally sounded like it was
"stuck" on this file, like it was trying again and again to copy this file and then
the Finder eventually reported something like "can't copy the file because an error
occurred, would you like to continue? ", i click continue but the Finder just stops
the copy and doesn't go on to finish the rest of the files.
This happened while dragging the contents of one drive (copy) to another.

The drive this happened with is a very rarely used drive, less than 2 years old, probably
less than 100 hours powered on.
It's a back up so it's not powered on very much.
Each time I used it, i check it with Disk Utility to "Validate" it.
It passes every time.
It's a Seagate drive.
It was a source file for a Logic Pro project and now I've had to delete it because it was
repeatedly not copying and preventing the back up from getting done.
The drive has been successfully duplicated but now I need to know what software
do Logic Pro users recommend for validating the integrity of audio files ?
