I installed the 2005-007 v1.1 update yesterday. Not that we use an 64-bit apps, but I installed 1.0 when I was released, so I felt it could be a good idea to fix the problems anyway. But I shouldn't have...
Now I can't login with my local admin account on the server. All OD accounts seem to work fine, both on the server and on the clients. But the login window won't let me in with the admin account (uid 501). SSH doesn't work either. It times out after several minutes with the message "Disconnecting: Bad packet length 1092209899."
If I login with any OD account and then authenticates as admin in apps like Disk Util or NI Manager the 501 account works just fine, so there's nothing wrong with the password.
I'm really stuck now. Any minute now people will be coming through the door to start working, but they can't until I can login. :-/
I to am experiencing the same problem Hugo Krantz has. On 9/7/05 I ran Security Update 2005-007 on my Xserve running OSX 10.3.9. Today I can log into the server as admin but it won't authenticate the LDAPv3 127.0.0.1 admin in WGM. The message says the login information is not valid. I don't have a lot of experience with this OSX server software or with Terminal. Any help would appreciated if it can be explicit and detailed for a novice.
