applications crash frequently

Hi,
I use PhotoshopCS2, IllustratorCS2, BridgeCS2 mostly.
And they crash frequently. With 2.2GHz, 4Gb ram and a fast hd that shouldn't happen.
It happens a lot more than on my old 933MHz ibook G4 with 1,12Gb ram and 160Gb@5200rpm.
Is this Apple's fault or Adobes?
Anyone else?

macbookpro 2.2GHz Intel core2 duo, Mac OS X (10.5.1), 2.2 GHz, 4Gb ram, 200GB@7200rpm

The problem with crashing could be a combination of both Apple and Adobe...

Since the introduction of OS X 10.5, there are some compatability issues with some third party software. Check out Adobe's website and see.

This is not an Adobe problem. I've used Adobe products for years and have never had a problem with the applications crashing until I recently installed 10.5.1. Apple has some serious issues with this version of the OS that needs to be addressed quickly.

I really find your response surprising because I have yet to see any problems with Adobe software on Leopard. Exactly what problems does you Mac have with Adobe?

Close all of your applications and open the disc utility click repair disc permisssions

just wondering but did you fully install them on your MBP or did you migrate everything over including the apps?

also it could be a PPC vs Intel issue but i really dont remember when adobe worked out the intel stuff

REMOVE THE BATTERY!!!!

Had the problem from day-one. Bought in early 07. Understand the frustration and the disappointment - first hand.

We had the same problem, had in the shop too, techs said it was fine. We figured out if you remove the battery and just stay plugged in, it will solve the problem. I think that they've got a bunch of defective batteries, while the computer cycles to check components/apps it hits a glitch with the battery.

It would be great for people with this problem to exchange the defective battery for a good one at no cost to them!!!!!!
