I have a black macbook and i have windows XP Home installed through bootcamp. I have downloaded Steam and installed CSS. When i start CSS it shows the background of the start screen but then gives an application error: The instruction at "0x10453e2c" referenced memory at "0x0e3ba1a0". The memory could not be "read". Click continue to terminate the program.
This happens every attempt so im guessing something is either not compatible or CSS is having a problem. I did a virus scan and got no problems so i don't know. If anyone has an idea id appreciate your input Thank You.

Am I wrong that Couterstrike Source requires a graphics card? The MacBook does not have a graphics card. So if I'm not mistaken, that's the problem. I can imagine that the application error is due to an attempt to access video card memory.
My apologies. Although Parallels does emulate a (4MB!) graphics card. I was under the impression that the MacBooks have "integrated" video, not a standalone graphics card.
So i fixed that problem, i had AVG 7.5 which causes problems. Now it starts but when it gets to the start screen it all goes black and i can hear the buttons that are on the left. I have seen this on these forums before but i cant find it now. Does anyone remember what the answer to the problem is?
You right click on the game in the "My Games" tab of Steam and select properties and then click launch properties and type -dxlevel 70 or 80 or 81 w.e you want to use.
